"LIGHT OF THE WORLD" Christmas Pageant

Minden, officially designated as Nebraska’s Christmas City, kicks off every season by staging the “Light of the World” Christmas pageant concluded by a glorious show of over 12,000 lights. More than 100 Minden volunteers play centurions, angels, kings, the wise men as well as Joseph, and Mary in a reenactment of the traditional Christmas story.

The pageant is performed the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and the first two Sundays of December at 7:00 pm.

Admission is free and open to the public.  Bring a blanket & a lawn chair and enjoy this uplifting outdoor performance on the Minden square.

The courthouse lights are lit each evening at approximately 5:00 pm from the day after Thanksgiving until January 1.
